                Governance
                  of the School
                  Ultimate
responsibility for The Holistic Education Elementary School
rests with the Board of Directors. However, we employ Dr.
Scott H. Forbes as the school principal who oversees the
day to day issues, as well as providing guidance in teacher
                    development.
                  Governance
within the school and within each learning group is based
on cooperation and partnership. Students are not seen as the
lowest link in the chain of command, but as participants (within
what is possible and advisable for their developmental stage)
in the creation and maintenance of order. We see learning
to participate in governance with partnership and cooperation
as crucial to developing social responsibility and self-governance,
both of which are fundamental to a young person's full development.

                  Funding
                  The
Holistic Education Elementary School is a non-sectarian 501(c)3
non-profit organization that has been created through the
                    generosity of private donors.
                  If
you would like to contribute to any part of The Holistic Education
Elementary School, especially the scholarship fund, your generosity
                    would be much appreciated.
